During the coverage of Kate & Will’s beautiful wedding, several references were made to the rehearsal, no doubt there were several rehearsals for this wedding, but if there is something that everyday couples can take away from this wedding it is how important it is to have a rehearsal prior to their own ceremonies. Timing of the arrival of the guests, the groom, the bride, the music, hymns, readings, vows and so much more have to be meticulously worked out and executed – there are so many little elements and timings to work out that until you actually rehears them, you can never be sure if they are all going to come together as planned.
For the most part Will & Kate’s wedding went off perfectly, with only one or two little hiccups that only the most picky of wedding planners may have spotted.
Kate’s dress by Sarah Burton was absolutely stunning and I predict that we will see many brides in the next few years in similar style dresses. I also think that we will see the trend of brides wearing their hair down (especially in Autumn and Winter weddings). The one thing that I did find to be disappointing was Kate’s bouquet, which I felt was really underwhelming , however overall Kate looked stunningly beautiful and I think she is going to be influencing the style of brides for quite some time to come.
