I thought I would share a few funny wedding moments:
I recently posted a comment on a wedding forum (the discussion was about doctors & what people do for a living), which the brides thought was very funny - one even suggested I used it as a by-line...
"I'm a wedding planner, so I help cure pains in the neck (aka MIL's), pains in the butt (aka un-cooperative FH's), re-attaching an arm & a leg (aka the amount it costs to get married), I'm also a psychiatrist to many brides (& a few grooms) & have even administered some on the day "first aid" to hung over grooms (& a few brides) & for some of my "patients" I have needed to do a bit of self medication (I normally find a good Merlot, is a good cure-all!)
On our facebook page we have compiled an album of funny wedding photos & on YouTube I have started adding some classic wedding videos to my favourites.
Someone recently sent us an email with an amazing quote, which I am hijacking and unashamedly going to be using as my motto for my life & my business:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn-out and screaming "Woo hoo - what a ride!"
My wedding planning advice: enjoy planning your wedding as much as you intend to enjoy the wedding day itself!
