The studio

This year, 2011, we moved and re-located our beautiful studio from Parnell to Freemans Bay. We are now bigger and better, offering corporate event planners, brides, function planners and the general public the perfect environment to view the extensive variety of products and services on offer.
The easy natural flow of the rooms makes it easy for visitors to view all the displays and return to favourites at any time. This year we have also started to sell pre-loved dresses on behalf, so there is a section full of beautiful wedding dresses, evening/ball gowns, bridesmaids & flower girl wear and other wedding accessories; such as, but not limited to, shoes, jewellery, veils etc.

Centrally located, with plenty of parking around the area, The Celebration Studio promises to be the perfect place to find all the products and services, a visitor will need, to plan a successful function.

Dynamic mother and daughter team Barbara & Nicky, who, previously, have successfully run their own independent companies, have now finally joined forces to bring The Celebration Studio to New Zealand. With the right mix of business, marketing, accounting, administration and organizational abilities, this dynamic duo intends influencing the function and wedding industry in a whole new way.

•         Barbara Orton

                   General Manager Barbara Orton, has successfully run her own                  accounting business in South Africa for more than 6 years.                  Having recently moved to New Zealand to be close to her family,                  she brings superior accounting and administration skills to The                  Celebration Studio. As a former Past President of her local                  Rotary Club she has many years experience in serving her                  community and those less privileged. Visitors to the studio will                  feel welcome and “looked after” with Barbara’s friendly hands                  on approach. Barbara holds a New Zealand certificate in Small                  Business Accounting.

          Nicky Gomes-Luis

                   Managing Director Nicky Gomes-Luis, has more than 10 years                  experience in event management. Author of Tying the Knot, this                  successful wedding coach runs wedding planning workshops                  for New Zealand brides, helping to make their wedding

          Serene Huynh

                   Newest addition to the team, Serene Huynh joined The
                   Celebration Studio in 2010. Born in New Zealand, with a
                   Malaysian and Vietnamese background, Serene is the smiling
                   face behind the front desk. With several years experience in the
                   hospitality industry, Serene aims to provide excellent customer
                   service for visitors. She is approachable, friendly and can help
